I've been poking around here for some time now and I think its time to introduce myself and track the progress of my bike.
My name is Jay i've been into cars my whole life mainly hondas but have found a love for jeeps as well. I found a new love in my 99 600f4. No car has ever got my blood pumping like this thing can!!

I got the bike at the end of april. Its my first bike. I LOVE THIS BIKE!! I ride it every chance I get!! On to the pics.....

I paid 3200 for it, it has 17k miles on it, and the previous owner had all the fluids changed and brakes done right before he sold it to me.

The first owner... not the guy I got it from he was the second owner... dropped it over in his driveway. So the plastics are a little rough on it. But thats ok because I have plans to fix that.



Those are all the pics of the day I brought it home. Ill get some current pics up today or tomorrow. Ive added a undertail and done some of the plastic repairs already.

Here are some more pics of what it currently looks like......
I repaired both fairings with plastifix and plastiweld....what an amazing product those are!!! Also have my undertail painted and installed. Everything is primed flat black right now and im kinda digging the flat look.....



I have some repair I need to do to the upper cowl fairing and then that will be painted as well. Im riding it too much right now to take it all apart but ill get to it this week I think. Im not sure if I wanna do the tail or the cowl first. But I do have all of the stickers in red instead of yellow.

 

Now, that's the attitude I like to hear! Riding is what its all about!

B/f I did the split-seat conversion on my F4, I had a homemade undertail/fender eliminator that I rattle-canned black. I thought it looked good that way. Was easy to touch too! Anyway, hope you get yours looking like you want. Enjoy!

 

Lil update.....
Got a carbon fiber front fender off of ebay. Its not the best quality but you get what you pay for. I got it for half the price of the name brand stuff. Mounting wasnt too hard either.I could prob wet sand and try and buff it or recoat it, but thats alot of time and I might just end up with the name brand down the road.

Dont mind it being dirty I forgot to put the cover on it in the rain the other day.

Pulled the front cowl and started the painting process.....
All sanded and ready for paint.....

 

And here it is all back together, two new mirrors and decals applied......



Next is the tank... I picked up a body mans special off of ebay for 50 bucks with a few dents that I am currently working on repairing.....If the weather wasnt so crappy here today id be out sanding and pulling dents right now!!
