I NEED wheel bearings
I have a 2000 F4 and the Rear wheel bearings are shot but can't seem to find any online. I know if i pull the wheel off i should beable to find the sizes on the side of the bearings but there in lies another problem, i'm still needing a stand so i can get the wheel off. If anyone knows the bearing size off the top of their head I would REALLY appreciate it.

RE: I NEED wheel bearings
use two jack stands to support the swingarm while you pull the wheel off.
Take wheel off, tap out wheel bearing, and take it to a bearing shop... and may i ask how you know you need new wheel bearings when you don't even have the wheel off? |
RE: I NEED wheel bearings
well the way i know is that i took it to the mechanic today to get a "knocking" checked out and while it was there on the lift they removed the wheel and checked it. however if you get the rear wheel on a "swivel plate" there is lateral play in the wheel and since I have changed many many wheel bearings before in bicycles i figured i would give it a shot before i paid the shop $80 an hour to put in a wheel bearing.
