Default How much would u pay?

Have a chance to pu a 2000 Honda cbr 600 f4 decent shape for $1400? My only concern is it has 95000 on the odometer and he is 3rd owner. Wat u guys think?

Depends on how it runs. If it runs good, and shifts, I wouldn't think twice about getting it.

definetly depends on the shape.

i just picked up a 2000 f4 with 35k for 800 that runs great. just cosmetic problems

95,000 is a whole lot of miles. Since he is the 3rd owner there's no telling how well it has been maintained through the years. Previous owners may have been very meticulous and changed the oil every 3,000 miles or they could have let it go and changed it rarely, if ever, knowing they might be selling it in a year or two. A red flag makes me wonder why a 2000 model year bike has had 3 owners already.

I'd stay away from it if I was shopping around but that's just me.

I would probably look for a different deal I got a F4 with 28,000 for only 2k and mechanically was sound. That seems like a lot of miles.

If it has been taken care of, it has some miles left in it. I had a 929 with 80k that ran great, had good compression, and didn't burn oil or leak. The bike was totaled but the motor survived. I still have it as a spare. Honda motors are known for longevity, ask Jared (thirdgen). 200k+

See if he will go lower on the price. I'd bet that the mileage scares buyers away.

Make sure it runs good. CHECK EVERY GEAR!!! Make sure it shifts and stays in gear.
Any doubt, walk away.

Used Motorcycle Evaluation Guide

read through this before you check the bike out, it has some good info on what to look for.
