Default high rpm's

being an ex motocross.my f4 is the first bike ive ever owned, this is my first spring on it.im just wondering a few riding tips from you pros.how far can i really lay this thing down in the corners(without touching pegs obviously) i think its fun as hell but how far can i push it? and also, how long should a guy run high rpms on the highway?.if im doing 110mph can i do it for long or is it too hard on the bike?,the tach seems pretty high at that speed for too long a journey.thanks for your comments.its 2000 f4 9000mi

I just purchased my f4 a couple of months ago and that thing can handle just about anything. You can try to push that thing to the limits on the streets but you'll never get close. You can stretch her legs pretty far if you go to a track but you better bring an extra pair of ***** because if/when you get to the limit it will scare the sh*t out of you. These honda engines are built so strong you can run them at high rpm all you want and it will keep on truckin (or bikin'). You wont hurt it at high rpm, in fact the engine is designed to run at that range. Just be safe and ride within your limits. You're pushing yourself rather than you are pushing the bike.

hope this helps

That depends on your tires really, but there is a guide somewhere that you can look that up. I'm thinking about 45-50 degrees I'm guessing?

Oh and 110MPH (corrected spped?) is like blowing out a small snot for a modern 600 these days. You can run that in 4th gear probbie. My old YZF600R would do 110 in 4th at maybe 12-13,000 RPM where the power would just about begin to dive.

Does the F4 have a rev limiter?

Yes, The F4 has a rev limiter.
I forget at what RPM though.

Isn't Redline ~13,500rpm?
I think limiter is ~14,200rpm

phew, after getting used to the 1000RR (Redline 11,650)
those numbers seem really high :-)

I looked at a 2005 600RR in the showroom last
week and the redline looked like it was 15,500rpm!
