Default has this dumb sh@% ever happened to anyone?

omg guys i cant believe that i cant get my bars to go back straight. i set my bike in my building to park it and i turned the key all the way to the left so my steering lock would be on. i put the key back in the thing and tried turning it the right so i could get ready to crank my bike but it wont get off the steering lock. how the hell do i fix this? if if helps, i just got a top vortex triple clamp put on the other day. still though, i would think this would hurt anything, any suggestions?

Try turning the handlebars as you've turn the key. I've had similar problems in cars when the steering locks.. not sure if it will help tho.

i never use the steering lock so i dont think anyone did anything there. i just decided to lock it once i put it in my building last night. the ****er wont turn back straight, its cocked to the left now. do you guys think the guy that installed my triple clamp may have left a part out of the steering stem/ignition? i would hate to have to start taking apart ****

a upper triple? May not have got the key switch in correctly. Loosen the triple up n see if it unlocks then.

thankyou guys for replying to my post. you know what fixed this? i loosenedthe plastic ignition cover (the little black circle piece) that mounts around the ignition on the top triple clamp and VOILA! i was able to turn the key with no problem. this was one of the dumbest things i have ever had happen to my bike. if i wouldnt have improvised andworked onit myself i would have had to go through a lot of trouble to get it fixed proably. i gues it being pressed up against the triple clamp so tight (it tightens with one screw on each side) cause a issue with the ignition. thanks for all the help guys, i appreciate it, now i am going riding!
