Gas tank ruined from powdercoating
Recently I bought some new fairings for my bike and took the tank in to a buddy of a buddy to get powder coated for free. When I get the tank back the entire inside is coated with a black crispy burnt on layer which I can only assume was a pour in liner. Now this is my first bike I've has it for 5 or 6 years and I've never seen the inside of another bike tank. The guy assured me that he's done bike stuff before and not to worry and now I'm stuck with this unusable tank.
My question is there something I can buy to pour in and completely strip the inside of the tank or am I screwed?

Before the powder was baked on, your buddy really should have checked to see that he wasn't gonna cook anything that didn't like to be cooked. But at this stage, you'll have to have all the old coating removed. Seal the thing up and use some acetone & drywall screws. Or just ship the tank off to a place that specializes in such things.
