I guess my fuel pump must be going out.. gas is leaking from it and coming out the overflow hose.. is this a common problem for the fuel pump to go out? i only have 5K on the bike.

 

Mine went out at 30k but it was making to much pressure. I would guess that a diaphram has got old and cracked in yours from sitting maybe?

 

mine just went out @ 18k

the dealer replaced mine and he said fuel pumps are common for them to go out on bikes b/c alot of them sit so much..I dunno, mine doesnt sit much other than the winter, but I still start it once a week

I think mine was around 120 bucks..

 

My bike floods out of the left side of the air box....It is taken apart.
Before I pull the carbs.My question is do you think my fuel pump could be overpumping my bike this much.
Bike runs great when running.

the pump itself was $108 from the dealer, the filter was $15 from the dealer and a total of $209 for them to put it on...
