F4i Trim on F4?
Hello everyone,
I am in the process of putting my bike together and i am having a hard time sourcing some decent trim pieces for my F4. i am looking for the little black wings that bolt to the gas tank and extend up towards the front fairing. i am also looking for the trim panels the fill in the area around the gauge cluster. i saw that the F4i has a different gauge cluster, and different plastics. on the F4i, the wing piece that bolts to the tank looks like it is part of the trim panel that extends up to the fairing. does anyone know if it will bolt on to my F4? i dont really care if i have a gap around my gauge cluster.
Thank you in advance.

well, I was able to buy some used aftermarket ones (ZXMT) and they fit half way decent and were in pretty good shape. however, i am now interested in buying an undertail to get rid of the factory rear fender. i just bought a brand new LED tail light for my bike, so im trying to keep that. that being said, i can only find an undertail from hot bodies racing. it says that it only fits 04-06, but i think the tail lights on the 99-00, and 04-06 are the same. is there any reason why this under tail wont fit my 99? is it because theg subframes are different?

looking at the rear cowl, the mounting areas look the same. i think the only differences are the holes for the grab handle and a grommet for the side bolts. othewise, they look the same. from a manufacturing stand point, its cheaper for a company to utilize a plastic mold as long as it can before having to design a new one because the mold dies are so expensive. its easier to modify the part as it comes out, or the mold itself.
