F4i parts
Found a guy parting out a 2002 f4i. He got rid of the frame, and is offering basically everything else for $700. Stellar deal, that I'm trying o scrounge up money for. Allegedly a running motor, forks, both wheels, subframe, complete wiring harness etc.
I don't have the money for all that right now, but I can get the subby, battery tray, and seats for $180. I really only barely have the money for that right now, but is it worth it? I feel like the subby alone on eb*y goes for $200.
Trying to convince the wife that I can easily resell what I don't use for 700+
Any thoughts on putting the front brakes from the f4i on the f4? I know that the f4i rotors don't work on the f4, but if I could swap the whole front end (or the calipers, rotors, etc) then replacement parts are much easier to find.

If you can get the split-seat subframe, battery tray, & seats for $180, buy them quick & don't look back!!! Cost me a lot more than that way back when. Get those, & an $85 Delkevic split-seat tail fairing & you're conversion kit is about complete.
Yes, you can swap the entire front end too if you want (you'll need the spacers for the F4i front wheel of course). Or, you can simply reuse the F4i calipers on your F4.
You can run the F4i rear wheel as a direct replacement (spare). Of course, the rear sprocket (if stock) is a 46 (F4 is 45) but you can still use it w/o any modifications.
The wiring harness (front light section) would come in handy if you ever decide the do the F4i front end conversion for the dual light setup.

Actually, I already have the matching REPSOL split seat fairings, and have already done the whole f4i front end conversion (dual headlight and digital gauges.)
I'm on for the split seat conversion already. Should be picking them up thursday morning. Now I just gotta get the wife on board for a bunch of extra/ spare parts. Even though I'm sure I could sell everything that I didnt use for more than $700. Thus getting everything I want from it for free.
