I finally did this gauge swap after crashing into a turning car with my 2000 f4.
The original analog gauge were damaged due to the crash.
With the swap i left out the blue/white wire (FI light) because the f4 is carbed ofcourse.
But now i'm left with one solid brown wire coming out of f4 gauge wire harness?
I can't find it on the wire diagram from the f4 and would really like to know were to solder this wire on the f4i gauges wiring?
Is there somebody who can help me out please?
I've read the definitive f4i gauge swap to f4 topic on the forum,but there's nothing mentioned on the solid brown wire.

 

I figured it out!
The brown/white wire must be soldered to the solid brown wire and not to the brown/black wire.
Now the illumination of the gauges comes on when turning on the lights and is not on all time anymore.
