f4 stalling out when hot problem solved

Drax-I know its been a little while but how did you test your CDI? Im currently working through some problems on my F3, and im suspecting its the stator, but id like to test out the CDI as well. It sounds like im having almost the exact same problem with my bike (running like crap when its hot).Im not stalling out yet but I idle pretty rough when hot especially when the radiator fan kicks on. I hate working with the electrical lol so much crap that has to be tested and so many possible problems.
Thanks alot congrats on the new bike man

The radiator fan comes on when the bike - which increases electrical load. Poor contacts on the fan can make it less efficient over time.
The R/R gets less efficient as it gets hot - it also produces more heat when it is under more load. See a cycle there?
The battery deteriorates with age - as you increase heat you reduce charge, and increase system demands. On an older battery the capacity is reduced, therefore, symptoms are more prevalent later in it's life.
The bike runs properly when it isn't hot and maintains enough RPM's to charge properly.
If you ride in the city, then electrical upgrades (like a more efficient and stable R/R) might be worth it for your. Alternatively you can practice some avoidance behaviours - try not to ride in dead-locked traffic. Try to shut the bike off when you are stopped. Bump start the bike in traffic to reduce battery demands. Maintain a higher idle RPM when you must keep the bike running in stopped traffic.
The F4 was a compromise for the track. It is now 10 years old. The F4i had 90watts of additional charging capacity - and this was partially for the fuel injection, but I think also because they recognized the F4 was deficient in electrical overhead.
That's my view anyhow - welcome to debate...

I'm almost entrirely certain that this problem is inherant to F4's, right out of the crate they would have done this, to a lesser extent but it would have been evident.
Read the other new thread in the F4 forum, some good info in there!

Yeah not to be an a$$ or anything but before you spread ill information, try informing yourself more about the subject, as woot and I have.

Don't worry, he just tried to tell me that the charging system is what is used to turn the bike over.

My F4 runs on dreams and cotton candy too!

Thanks alot guys for your input. Im actually working through the issue in another thread in the F3 forum, but im just trying to gather as much info as I can because I am not as familiar with the electrical system.
Here it is if you wanted to check out some of the details

Also thanks for clearing up ridinthebays comment I didnt think he was right about that lol.
