Default f4 stalling out when hot problem solved

i figured i would tell people what i did to get my f4 stalling when hot problem fixed i started with the obvious which was carb cleaning and plug,no fix next tested coil and battery found that the stator was bad replaced still had the problem changed temp sensor and rectifier still no fix so last thing left was cdi ignition module and presto bike is running sweet and great when hot . i hope this helps someone who has tried evrything come to find out the previous owner had battery problems due to bad stator he jumped the bike off a car or while recharging it and cooked some components in the cdi.

it might be a moot point at this time, but did you ever check the valve clearances?

dude there was nothing on that bike that wasnt checked and at that point i just was spending more time fixing and little riding which for me just didnt make sense anymore....but on a happier note my 08 is sick and the previous owner mounted a Leo Vince exhaust, fender eliminator ,flush mount turnsignals and intergrated tail light signal so im happy and able to ride instead of repairing.

I feel ya' bro. I'm in the middle of repairing my F4 as well, and it's annoying because I'm going through a lot of different "potential" fixes but the problem still persists. I'm trying out another fix or two, and I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it works, because unfortunately for me, I definitely can't afford another bike =(. *Drools for an 08...*

Hope you're having a blast riding your new bike!

Drax-I know its been a little while but how did you test your CDI? Im currently working through some problems on my F3, and im suspecting its the stator, but id like to test out the CDI as well. It sounds like im having almost the exact same problem with my bike (running like crap when its hot).Im not stalling out yet but I idle pretty rough when hot especially when the radiator fan kicks on. I hate working with the electrical lol so much crap that has to be tested and so many possible problems.

Thanks alot congrats on the new bike man
