F4 rotors

Hi,
has anyone replaced rotors on the 99 F4? I think my rotors are warped!! I dont know how but, when I get on the front brakes its not a smooth deceleration. Any Ideas???
How expensive are these rotors? and what do you guys recommend to replace them with.
thanks[8D]

RE: F4 rotors

I just upgraded my brakes because one of my rotors was warped. I got a great deal on a set of barely used ebc rotors off ebay. I also went ahead and put on ebc hh pads, and galfer stainless lines front and rear. The front stopping power feels better than before, and the feel on the brake lever is awesome, i highly recommend a good set of pads and the stainless lines up front. Brand new the pricing on the front rotors are pricey at about 180 and up per rotor. I wouldnt have upgraded these but the deal i got from ebay was too good to pass up. to save money you might want to replace your warped rotor/s with used straight stock ones.

The only thing Im worried about is, getting a set of used rotors, how can I be sure that they're straight. I've heard some stories about used rotors. I guess Im gonna have to pay for new ones.

RE: F4 rotors

The first thing i did when i got my rotors was i mounted them to the lathe a work and ran a dial caliper on them. One had a very slight runout but i don't feel any vibration at all no matter how hard i am on the brakes. You can probably rent or borrow a dial caliper from you local autoparts store and see if yours are warped. It might be a good idea to check them first before you buy new ones just in case that isn't the problem.
