Question F4 to F4i Questions

I picked up my first street bike and I am eagerly waiting to start on this_

I need a few questions answered so I can proceed to assemble the bike.

To put on the F4i upper fairing do i need an f4 or F4i upper stay? (i don't think i have a lower stay, if there is one...)

I want to convert it to a dual headlight, what problems will i have to deal with? (battery drain, High and low beam operation, gauges?)

if i was to make it a "street fighter" and go the route of buying a aftermarket streetfighter headlight. i would loose ram air, does the bike need it to run properly or are the open inlets fine?

what do the two breathers connect to on the bottom of the tank? or are they meant to be open on the bottom.

is the fitment between the upper fairing and side plastics interchangeable? like F4i front to a F4 side.

The reason i ask the questions is because i have a lack of resources in my city. Seriously there isn't another f4 or f4i for me to look at. But i have scoured the internet and searched for all these answers and haven't come up with many useful answers.

Hi,

I can only answer a few of these so here it goes:

I'm guessing you will need the F4i stay because the gauge is mounted differently on the F4. This is the one I'm not sure about though.

The two breathers connect to the tank at the top and hang free from the bottom. The left side fairing has this little rectangular tab at the bottom which holds the tubes in place.

The F4 and F4i side fairings are interchangeable.

That's all I got.

For the F4I Swap you will need F4I upper fairing, headlight, F4I gauge, F4I intake tubes, F4I fairing stay, and F4I windscreen. The side fairings are interchangeable.

As far as problems with the swap go. For the gauges you will have to cut and splice the wires (this is very simple and I have the wiring diagrams if you need them) for the headlight there is an issue with the high beam and low beam the issue is that with the low beam it is supposed to be one light and the high beam is two. Well after I did the swap on mine I have one light for low beam and one for high beam (I still haven’t figured this one out).

Other then that it is a straight across swap and looks great too.

As far as doing a street fighter swap on it there shouldn’t be any issues with removing the ram air, stunt riders have been doing it for years. The only issue I can see is possibly running a little rich.

Ram air only works at high speeds so if you only drive in the city it will have no effect.
