A '99 CBR is an "F4" not "F4i". ;-)

Several options. I run a Yoshi Tri Oval CF.

Other members will be along w/ recommendations as well.

I run an Akropovic full system and it has a carbon slip-on, a little pricey but sounds wicked

Well, "illegal" is somewhat subjective. Seems DMVs from place to place interpret rules/laws differently. Really, it all depends on what your local laws are.

Example, some states/counties here are super picky about your bike having its stock signals removed & replaced w/ flush mounts. Those in that situation often keep their stockers on the bike to get it licensed & then replace them later w/ their flushmounts.

Just be sure to research your local laws.
