OK , attach rec/reg again , and the next one is a bit more like fireworks, have you ever tried bridging the starter solenoid, this will need a good big insulated screw driver .Ignition on and place the screw driver across the 2 large terminals on the starter solenoid, there will be sparks , but see if the engine turns over, dont leave the screwdriver across the terminals as it could weld to, dont touch any part of the metal on the screwdriver, if your a little worried about this one there are videos on you tube to show you

Ok, Thanks. I'm Checking that out now and it does spark and turn but still no start. And it turns rather sluggish as if my battery is dead or dying.

was that with the solenoid bridged , or just off the button

Just with the bridge.. although with the button it would drag too... I just tried it with the bridge this time. sorry

I saw that the volts appear to not drop so low with the bridge and the button. Around 10.1 then.

If it will only turn the engine with the bridging then you need a new starter solenoid, their cheap enough, and maybe the battery could do with a good charge while your waiting for the solenoid

I have another one, I will try that. It turns with just the button too. It just wont run. It will turn just wont burn.
