could use some help please
 
okay so i ride a 200 cbr 600fr. today i went out to strart the bike it started up fine, but after being at idle for about 10 seconds gas begins to leak from the bike. it looks as if its leaking from around the oil pan but its gas not oil. any help is greatly appreciated.[sm=thanx.gif]

I had the same problem a few weeks ago, it was coming from the carbs but it trickles down the motor and onto the ground, try running the bike without the tank on. The o-rings on the tee fittings between carbs 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 were bad so I split the carbs and replaced all o-rings, nothing to it. Good luck

I know that there was someone in here that had a gas leak from under the tank and you might just be seeing it by the oil pan because of the fairings being on. But, I recall it being a stuck float in the far left carburator and it was letting fuel flood up and out of the airbox area. Don't quote me on this but I would say a good start would be to take off fairings and look to see exactly were its coming from man....

how hard do you think this would be to do. and also what new parts would i need to pick up.

just in case, did u check the fuel lines running from the tank to the carbs? they sit just below the (rear) break fluid reservoir. . .

i will most definately check the gas lines. if the gas lines were leaking would that most likely cause it to leak down to the oil pan
