Is it common to fit a F3 CDI to an F4?
Appologies if this is a common topic, the search thing won't let me search CDI or ECU or F3 becaue they are too few letters.
Recently I bought a CBR600F4. I've been riding it around for a month or so during which it has run fine. Anyway during some routine maintenance I noticed it has old style coils and HT leads. So I did some investigation and found the wiring has been hacked about and a 12 Wire F3 CDI and coils have been fitted.
Is this a common thing? Is there any reason I should be concerned? Like I say it's been running just fine at all speeds.
