clay bar?
well considering a clay bar is to get wax and such off I doubt it will hurt using it on a bike.....after using just put a coat of fresh wax on.
I use a clay bar on my car once a year. At the begining of spring and then just keep it waxed up good the rest of the year.

The clay bar will get out the crap that your washmit won't... Built up crud in crevices that you can't reach, the clay will get. Makes for smooooth clearcoat surfaces, and makes the wax-job look all that much better
I use them on my cars about twice a year. They really take all the crap off your paint. You might think your car is smooth feeling, but after a good claybar session, its slicker than wet glass!
Just if you use one, PLEASE remember to squirt some detailer on the bike/car before you start using the claybar. A claybar can actually mess up paint if a good lubricant is not used with it. I typically use Mequiars (sp) quick detailer with my claybars. Just spray on the detailer and start scrubbing away with the clay. Easy process, but it can take several hours to do an entire car. A bike shouldnt take very long at all.
