i just order the chain and sprocket set and the guy said i could go down 1 in front and nothing in back. and he also said goin down 1 in front is like adding 3 in back. i had no idea what he was talking about so i just ordered the stock ones. figured for the daily driving i do, it would be fine.

-1 +2 is good for daily driving. If you dont understand here it is, down one tooth on the front is for more acceleration. You can achieve the same acceleration jump with a +3 rear sprocket which is 3 up from stock. He was just sayin -1 is like goin +3 in the rear.
I had -1 +2 on my old f2 and it would still struggle to get to 145 mph but that was with no fairings. My point is -1 +2 will gain you a good amount of acceleration for the little top speed you lose.

I'm glad this topic came up. It reminded me of how much I need to get a new chain & sprockets! Also if your chain is clicking later on, (a couple weeks) it is routine maintence to lube and tighten your chain. You can buy chain lube at walmart for no more than $10 and I always lift my bike and spin the back tire when I tighten the chain and spray the lube on it while its rotating. Just my .02, you might not want to mess up that pretty blue chain with grease. Happy riding and be safe
