hi could anybody help me out my bike has no spark from all coil caps but fuel pump kicks in i have checked the kill switch but thats working fine how do i check side stand can i just dissconnect it and try? and on the side stand does this have its own idiot light on dash as nothing illuminates and finaly will my bike have a tilt sensor on this year if so where would it be located thanks john

 

May want to check the resistances on the coils to eliminate them and then the leads n caps.

need to get yourself a mulit voltmeter

and then in that manual it should show you how to test the coils to see whether they need replacing or not.

The bike will start on the side stand if its in netural, with the side stand down it will not start in gear, theres no light for this on the clocks..

Look at that manual its secition 17 - 4 it has a trouble shooting and tells you what to look for with ignition problems / spark problems

 

hi hawkins ive gone through your manuel and i have now found problem previous owner had the clutch case welded up and never refitted the ignition pulse generator so hopefully when i get 1 it should start thanks for all the help john
