Cbr keeps losing all power and stalls at random times
Well, i feel foolish, i have now fitted new contacts to pump, and discovered i suck at soldering, who'd have thought that one poxy little wire would be so awkward ?
Still it's done now, will fit pump tomorrow and report back to the forum after trying out.
Anyway i am a numpty !! While replacing contacts i decided to double check, that is ACTUALLY MEASURE, the spigots on my current pump. Well, bugger me they are only 10 effin mm diameter.
In my defence though the place i bought the aftermarket pump from stated quite clearly in the description that it was the correct type for a 1999 cbr 600f AND that it had 10 mm inlet/outlet spigots, so i just assumed that they were.
Luckily i have not yet sent it back so i measured the new one and the bastards have sent me a pump with 8, yes that's eight, mm spigots. So no wonder that i could not find any hint of info anywhere about pumps with larger sized spigots. Nevermind we live and learn. In future i'll check stuff before i start panicking that i've got some sort of rogue part attached to my bike.
So thankyou very much for the kind offer hamlin6, but there is no need, it turns out i am just a bit stupid !!!
Cheers to all.

You are very welcome. Also you aren’t stupid at all. You made a mistake and then you figured it out. I’ve seen guys throw in the towel over incredibly simple issues as they didn’t have the mindset or the patience to see it through. Looks like you have both so you are way ahead of the game in my book.
Hi all and thanks for the kind words but i still feel very daft for not thinking to measure stuff 1st saving myself a ton of panic and worry about nothing.
Anyhow i have now refitted all parts back on to my bike including pump c/w shiny new contacts. This evening i took bike out for a test ride comprising a short trip of a couple of miles from home to my mates place and then a fair run totalling 45 miles of very spirited riding on local roads mostly dual carriageway and a little bit of single carriageway. Like i say i am a bit fond of my bikes performance and was travelling at (censored) mph for great deal of the time. It would, fingers crossed, appear that the new contacts in pump have cured the problem. WOOHOO !!! Not once did she stutter or die or anything else that you would describe as out of the ordinary.
I will be using her for work tomorrow and hope that all goes ok and will post on here to let people know how it's going.
A quick word to the O.P. I really hope you get/have got your bike sorted and post on here how you are doing.
Regards to all

Fantastic news Redders, really glad you managed to sort it.
That is the beauty of these bikes, they are very happy to poodle about and relaxing, but when you want to can be very exciting when exploring the upper reaches of the rev range.

Well, i have now done a commute to and from work, not very far admittedly, just under 25 miles total. My bike behaved just as she should with no unpleasant surprises in terms of how she ran. I am back in love.😍
Audi drivers are, however, a different matter, you could be Mother Teresa or the Dalai Lama but get behind the wheel of an Audi and you become an absolute C×%T. Can you tell i was severely pissed off on the way home from work by an Audi driving **** with no indicators or mirrors ?
Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest. Back on topic now. A large thanks to contributers on the forum whose various posts helped me to muddle my way through to a successful conclusion to my problems.
Cheers all.

Trickshot540 hows it going with you ? Have you managed to get sorted yet ? I hope you have got your bike running properly again. Post on forum to let folk know, it was your post on here that i found while googling for clues to my problem which led me to this forum and a result. So i really hope you are sorted out.
Best wishes

So my bike will run just fine but will randomly start sputtering and losses all power and dies. After a few seconds it will start back up and ride fine again. I had my fuel pump and fuel pump relay replaced as well as my carbs rebuilt. But after two days of having it back it did the exact same thing again. Anyone with any thoughts are welcome. I’m desperate
I have a CBR125R doing the exact same thing tried all the fixes as well as the ones mentioned below, after no change i accidently discovered the kill switch attached to the side stand was the issue as i was riding the side stand would wobble abit causing the issue i remove the cable from side stand and bullet connected it together now runs like a dream
