Default To buy or not to buy?

I'm currently debating on whether or not to buy a cbrf4. 17k miles, and the gent is asking $3400. It seems to be in good condition and as far as I can tell there's no significant damage to the bike, and the motor sounds strong. I was just wondering if it's a good deal and if it's reliable etc. I live in Hawaii, and was wondering if there's any support out here. Thanks.

Sounds pretty decent. If you could talk him down to $3000 or 3200 it would be a very good deal. I paid $2600 for my 99 with 40k miles and needing a chain.

I think any F4 (2000) is a great buy if its in good condition. (And not overpriced obviously) I've had mine since march of this year. Some guy wanted to trade me for his SRAD 99 GSX-R750 plus an additional 500 bucks on top of that because I don't use my fairings. Can't do it for two reasons. 1: That bike was a piece of S***. And 2: I just can't part with my f4. Even after my lowside crash recently there is nothing wrong with this bike. I'm starting to be convinced it has feelings of not wanting to die.

$3400 is not a bad price at all. I bought mine for $4150 back in early march. MSRP has gone down since then but this bike is worth every penny up to MSRP standerds. I say go for it. And hey, if you can talk him down do it. Good luck with your buy!
