bike keeps dying

bike keeps dying
I have a 2000 cbr600 f4 and I crashed it three years ago. I bought the necessary parts to put it back together and had someone else do it. While riding at very low speeds for an extended time, the bike overheated and blew the fuse to the radiator fan. I replaced that and the bike runs fine until it gets warmed up. Once it warms up and I'm riding it (usually around 1 mile into the ride) the bike justs cuts out. It will then not start until it cools down, but once it does it runs great until it's heated up again and then it repeats the pattern. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was the charging system (stator and regulator rectifier) I relpaced those and thought the bike was fixed but then I test rode it yesterday and it did the same thing. Any suggestions? I don't think the fan is working. Is there a sensor somewhere that might make the bike cut out to protect it from overheating? Thanks,
Shane

RE: bike keeps dying
Call me crazy. But i have a feeling that if you are able to fix the wiring to the fan, you'll fix your problem.
Remember, always start easy and work hard. Check your thermostat. Check your radiator, Check your fan. The bike should not overheat if you're riding it. The fan only kicks on if the bike is very hot. (as in sitting in traffic on a 100 degree day)

RE: bike keeps dying
Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what you mean by the last question, but what it does is stalls/sputters like it's not getting fuel and then dies with the power (lights, dash lights) staying on. It doesn't lose power it just won't run. When I try to start it up again it will turn over forever but not fire up. Then about 5-10 minutes later after it cools down it fires up and drives great. I'm hoping it's something simple, how difficult is it to check the thermostat? How would I check to see if the radiator fan is working if it won't run long enough to get hot? Thanks,

RE: bumblebee (bike keeps dying)
check the coolant temperature sensor, also if u get the tank quickly off, check if u get a spark right after the bike has died and wont start
what kind of fuel are u using, i know 94 will make ur bike run hotter...
try using 87 or 89, and see if it will run better.
