well, i got a new front tire and full set of oem coils ordered. the tire that's on it now is 7-8years old and has massive cracks like I hit something. glad im finally replacing it. as far as i can tell, new coils will get this bike running perfect. ill let you all know if the coils fix all the issues.
Good news! The coils got the bike running perfect, and I mean like new. But with my luck, that didn't last long. The fuel pump cut-out relay went out and right after I had left to go get gas. Luckily I didn't make it far so I just walked it back. Instead of just ordering the $12 Relay, I decided to just bypass it.
It seems to work ok but only time will tell.
And I have a question about some mounting holes.
Anyone know what these bolt holes are for? There are 4 of them just beside the mount for the rear fairing.
For EU spec models as well as other markets, there is a rear grab handrail and those are the mounting holes for it. The US market doesn't have that part.
It shouldn't fry the pump, as soon as it reaches the pressure it needs it shuts off. should work almost identical as if the relay were still there. It just won't shut off when the engine stops running. And it's just another thing that cant break (again anyway).
