Any advice on replacing the cam chain tensioner?

I'm going to be replacing the cam chain tensioner as soon as the part comes in. The job looks pretty straightforward but I just want to make sure I don't make any stupid mistakes so if anyone has and advice on what I should avoid doing, what I should lookout for or anything else that could help that would be great!

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for what guide I should use? The one in the link below was the best I could find.

I just did mine this winter, it is straight forward easy...two bolts holding the original, remove those, the tensioner, and clean the mating surface of old gasket. Install new gasket and tesioner... (just follow the instructions for OEM) for aftermarket you will hand tighten the center adjusting bolt and then start the bike. Tighten the center adjusting bolt untill most of the chain rattle is gone. Now let her warm up to normal operating temp and do the final adjustment. You don't want to overtighten it so some noise is okay/normal. The ONLY problem is space to get your hands in there, it's a tight fit so be patient lol

Yeah I just replaced it about a week ago and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Like you said the only real problem I had was getting my hands in there, I cut my fingers up pretty bad trying to squeeze them into places they shouldn't have been! haha
