Airbox Seals
Air Cleaner Microfiche
Probably a stupid question, but do parts 6 and 7 (seal A and seal B for the air cleaner housing) in this microfiche even exist? The project bike I picked up recently doesn't have them, and I don't see evidence of these parts on any ebay airboxs up for sale. The large seal that goes all the way around the perimeter of the airbox is no longer available from Honda.

Thanks for your reply. I'm wondering if the seal is just like a very thin layer of sticky paper of some kind of material and that's why I can't see it on the airboxs for sale eBay, or is it more like a thicker rubber gasket? Either way, I think I might just run a small bead of silicone gasket maker in the groove. It might get a little messy, but it will be effective I'm sure.

Seems to me that the part of the airbox that is after the filter is also the part directly exposed to the outer perimeter of the airbox where the seal would be. Even so, I'm still not sure the seal is really needed. It seems like the plastic and the groove should seal decently well without much help.

TBH mate, I'd do what you said, run a thin strip of silicon clear sealent over it, least it stops crap getting in and is a 30 second job to peel off when needed. I'd personally do that just to be sure... although as Demon says, shouldn't need it. Mine deffo has this on from memory though.
