air duct cover problem

Did you swap the headlight out for an F4i, also resulting in the upper fairing stay brackets. (2) ? Are you sayhing that the duct cover doesnt connect to the headlight housing? Or it bolts into the headlight housing and is two inches short of connecting to the tank? You have to look at how the part bolts on. Im assuming you are using the F4i duct covers, and if so then so long as they are bolting to the tank, you are going to need the F4i headlight for the covers to connect to it because they do not connect on the F4.

Only suggestion I really have is, bolt them to the tank. Then where the holes are to bolt onto headlight housing, go buy some longer (what are they 5 mm or something) 2 inches or so, and try to see if you can get them to connect. You could fabricate some sort of rubber grommet/spacer maybe to fill the void there. Otherwise I mean its obvious its not a direct bolt on, so that is my quick solution of it. Ill think a little more on it. Theres usually always a way. As far as the 1 hole thing, Im not really sure because I dont have an F4 to use as reference but does it shape wise match where it bolts onto the tank? If so then follow above instruction. If it fits but holes are not linging up anywhere then perhaps just drill a hole through the cover where its linging up and you can at least attempt what I said above, otherwise if it doesnt fit the shape maybe you can dremel it to fit otherwise Im not sure.
