2000 F4 Price/Miles?
I am looking at a 2000 CBR F4 with about 25,000 miles on it. We are at $3100 for the price. The bike is very clean and runs very well. Stock except K&N filter. New tires(within 200 miles, havent been ridden hard, still new), just tuned/carb clean/sinc (receipts from a local shop). Cosmetically looks great as well. Is this a good price for this bike? Should I be worried about the mileage? Whats the lifespan (mileage wise average) for the CBR if well taken care of? I have seen a bike the of the same year with 4,000 miles that was in worse shape. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks a ton in advance

RE: 2000 F4 Price/Miles?
Perfect price. Mileage isn't an issue if it's well taken care of. I bought mine at 12,800 miles for 4 grand, great condition. Couple of little nicks here and there but I wasn't too worried about it. Does it have an performance parts or accessories such as frame sliders or special clip ons, race rear sets.... anything of the sort.
Oh yea, It's a HONDA.. you'll probably get a lot of life from that bike. I've seen some older CBRs with 90k.. pretty well taken care of, ugly but mechanically sound which is all that really matters. I've had much luck with Honda all my life. I've got an 81 Honda XL185S at a buddy's house... we tear that thing up and it STILL starts first kick. Gotta love the wings. Also, bought an 86 Rebel 450 as my first bike... mechanically sound, all it needed was new filters and oil. Wasn't the prettiest thing but I painted it up and sold it for a profit to a wonderful young lady who is enjoying the hell out of it.
Recently had a 2004 CRF150F, bike was mean. Wheelied all day long, had absolutely no trouble with it.
Had TWO 71 CB750s.. one didn't work, rewired, new battery got it going in one day. Enjoyed them both and sold them.
Another plus about Honda, you will always be able to find parts for them.
Goodluck with the search, I reccommend the bike. I really enjoy mine couldn't have asked for anything better comfort wise, handling, and reliability.
