Hi guys, I finally started my 600rr Swinger conversion. I just finished mock-up last night. I'm waiting for the bushings to be machined and a couple other odds and ends, but it's close to being ready to go. It feels awsome, the suspension works flawlessly. If your interested in more details, let me know, I'll post how it's done.

it came out gangstan, hot,ect, i give u mad props for putting that 600rr swingarm on the f4. can u give me some info on how to do it and what parts i need to do it? thanks in advance

There might be a reduction in wieght, i'm not sure(Easily discovered through comparing the two tech specs in a Haynes Manual.)... hey looks like you have a GP setup for the shifter, that looks awesome! Any plans on doing a hi-mount/exit exhuast? I would love to see a Akra on there or even a Devil... way to trick out the F4!

 

You obviously know nothing about suspension geometry. The wieght is about the same, maybe 1lbs between the two. The rr swinger is about 2" longer (for better stabillity), the shock position is lower and vertical (faster and more progressive response as well as lowering the center of gravity of the bike) and due to the triangulation design of the swingarm can tollerate alot more latteral torsion. I'll post more on the mod in the next day or two as I can find the time.

like I said this mod is hot so please dont forget to post how to do it and what are all the parts I should get im really interested on doing this to my f4 since im keeping my bike for life i really love my bike and with this mod ill marry it. LOL

I Finally Finished It! It's all done and works flawlessly. I posted how I did it in the Past Models -> 600 Modifications forum. Seemed more appropriate to put it there. Sorry it took so long, but I was pretty busy this winter, and spent more time drinkin' beer and stairing at it then actually doing it.
