If the regulator plug is burned up, you'll need to replace the regulator.
The GsxR's will do the job or Honda upgraded the part as well (added
heat fins). I actually bought a new after-market replacement from
Electrosport. Instead of hunting down the gang-plug, I used individual
female bayonets on each wire with heat-shrink to insulate them.

OEM-Type Bullet & Spade Electrical Connectors for 1960's through 1970's Japanese Vehicles... Bridgestone, Datsun, Hodaka, Honda, Kawasaki, Landcruiser, Suzuki, Tohatsu, VW, & Yamaha
Gotcbr turned me on to that one. Excellent resource, fast turn-around.
I used them to pick-up the 9x connectors I needed for my guage conversion.
18 wires is worth using a pair of plug-connectors, I didn't think 5 wires on the
r/r justified the cost/time. I'm just gonna cram them full of di-electric grease
to waterproof them.

ElectroSport - Motorcycle, Dirt Bike and ATV - OEM Quality Stators, Regulator/rectifiers and CDIs
Here's where I picked up my r/r.

The r/r came with the attached plug ends you see. Since it's only 5 wires,
I used individual bayonet-mounts on them. I used heat-shrink tubing to
clean it up and insulate the soldered on plug-ends.

Hope this helps, Ern
