I would have to say yes, it whats holding your engine.

There is really no reason for it to be less torque that I can think of

Longer bolt... Idunno. The slider started to get noticably thicker at about 42 lbs, I took it off and went back to bolts. Dont have my fairings to cut yet anyways...

wait, what kind of sliders are they.

I was thinking about mine, which are vortex.

the main bolt goes through an aluminum base and that bolt is torqued down to factory spec. then there is another bolt that actually holds the slider into the base, that doesnt have any torque at all.

Your sliders dont have a base, your just torqueing down on plastic?

its either delrin or teflon which is pretty much the same. ah...i say just tighten them down enough so your engine wont fall off...put some red loctite on the threads if you dont think thats enough torque.

I dont know that I would trust a set up like that. Your relying on that plastic not to split or crack, and cause your enine mounts be loose.

theres an upper, and a lower in the rear part of the engine. Its not like these sliders are flimsy pieces of plastic, they are high density delrin. They are not going to snap in a laydown. I have been running these sliders since the end of last season and beginning of this and no problems. I just tighten them down as much as i can with a regular size ratchet, no loc-tite at all.

Do the washers go between the slider and the frame or the bolt and the slider?
