Ok so this morning I rode her to school and back.. everything was fine, got hom, took an hour nap then got up to go to work.. turned her on with the choke then turned choke off a min later.. stepped in the house for a sec and when I came back out she turned off... turned her back on and she was idling really low.. and was very quiet.. I put the tank to reserve thinking I ran out of gas but still stayed low.. I put the idle back up, went up to 1.2 rpm but she was still running really quiet.. quieter than normal.. I'm thinkin its not firing on all cylinders.. I just got it back from the shop at least 2 weeks ago, I got the carbs cleaned and got new spark plugs.. what could it be?

 

some sort of fuel issue for sure man... i would just pour in some seafoam and FILL the tank, then see if she starts running good again. if not then theres PLENTY of other things that it could be so u definately just want to start simple

 

Oh and just to add it in I rode it around the parking lot and it seems ok just a lot quieter.. it revs too.. ill def put some seafoam and gas tho

 

yeah i bet theres just a bit of jizzoli in one of the jets, the seafoam will destroy it like it was never there, and ur bike will be full of gas and ull be ridin to work and school in no time

 

how much seafoam can you use?

 

it says it right on the back of the cannister. it treats like 8-15 gallons so half a cannister is usually what i put in if my bike starts actin up a lil. Just so u know if u put too much in or too little in its not a very big deal, ull just be wasting the seafoam if u put too much in

I just put some Sea Foam in my 2 weeks ago. I filled the tank w/ some 87 fuel and added 1oz per gallon as the bottle states. I did notice after I ran two full tanks of fuel through my bike the idle dropped 100 rpms. This is the 1st time I've used the stuff.

ok i just put some like 1/3 of the bottle and put 93 octane to the top.. it was still idling low and when i turned it on so i put it up to 1.2, rode it for a bit.. and i noticed that when i pull the throttle it would idle on 3rpm and it doesnt sound right, sounds like a harley/sportsbike.. so i tried going fast.. after about 4.5rpm it wound sound right again, sound nicee like how it should.. but everytime it goes lower than 4rpm it sounds off again and it would idle at about 3.. then i put it on neutral and stop for a bit.. then it goes back to 1.2 without me touching anything.. wtf??

 

heyy i got it! seafoam works wonders haha i just rode to my friends house and watched jersey shore and when i got out it wouldnt start... (im thinkin its because i left the idle really high.. but i didnt know this then) so i got my friend to push me and i started it that way and it revved really high and i put it back down to 1.2 and rode.. it was perfect again thanks guys!!!! love seafoam
