Default whatis "too hot" for the F3

Sometimes when i'm going really slow or stopped in traffic at a light, like today it was 104F, and the fan will kick on and the temp creeps up to the little philips head screw like 3/4 the way up the gauge, but never goes past that. is that too hot? Do i need to switch to running just water and water wetter?

nah you should be fine man . just remember were in Cali so lane split everything and get in front of all those cars so you dont have to get stuck in traffic. like ****in fair oaks this morning because of the parade i was lucky enough to pass right before it started but other people were stuck behind it for a while

The fan should kick in at 3/4 and then turn back off at 1/2, I thinkg that as long as it doesn't get in the red it isn't a big problem, over here in the UK mine very rarely cuts in coz it's so ***** cold!

haha! a parade, i just keep getting stuck at long long lights. i don't realize how long they are in an air conditioned car with a/c... but sitting on a bike at 200F, and air temperature of 100F and a ground temperature of probably 150F you get AWFUL hot in the 2-3 minutes you are parked waiting for watt/fair oaks to go green again...

you will know when the fan cuts in as you will feel more vibrations, if you park the bike up and get off, you can see it cut in when it gets up to 3/4.

you can also hear it kick on if you just have it parked and usually when you turn the ignition off you can still hear the fan running if your engine got hot enough
