what type of MPG do you see
ok so i had to hit the reserve today for the first time, and this was the first time i have had the 600 on the road, but 100 miles and then i was on it. i was sure i had a full tank when i reset the meter but i could be wrong. so thats 100 miles and 3.5 gal fuel so about 28mpg holy hell that bad, is this right? now by no means have i been puttering around i have made many high end runs so i am thinkin that is also part of the first tank criders,
also what is the recomended fuel to run. 87/93? i read that the engine has a 12:1 comp ratio which need high octane or is that wrong? thanks guys/gals

RE: what type of MPG do you see
Seems like I usually see around 40-45 mpg on my 98 F3. I usually try not to let it run down to where I have to switch into reserve so I usually end up filling up at around 130-140 miles. I will NOT run it on anything but premium. This is not a good place to be cheap about filling it up. I mean come on even at 3.20 per gallon its still only about $10 to fill it up. Sure better than the $45 it cost me to fill my car with regular.

RE: what type of MPG do you see
well i figured the tank had to be low when i started, but any way, i got a high of 41.8 today and 40.5 the other day. i stayed on the I till she ran dry right at 153 i went to rev and went another 12miles till the next gas station and filled to 3.2 gal so every thing seems fine. so all i have to do now is
replace the cct
remove the chain and clean
fix the oil leak i have out of the stator cap. i didnt use the right gasket when i fixed it, but the welds seem to be holding just fine. damn am a good alum welder
