Default what type of MPG do you see

ok so i had to hit the reserve today for the first time, and this was the first time i have had the 600 on the road, but 100 miles and then i was on it. i was sure i had a full tank when i reset the meter but i could be wrong. so thats 100 miles and 3.5 gal fuel so about 28mpg holy hell that bad, is this right? now by no means have i been puttering around i have made many high end runs so i am thinkin that is also part of the first tank criders,

also what is the recomended fuel to run. 87/93? i read that the engine has a 12:1 comp ratio which need high octane or is that wrong? thanks guys/gals

Seems like I usually see around 40-45 mpg on my 98 F3. I usually try not to let it run down to where I have to switch into reserve so I usually end up filling up at around 130-140 miles. I will NOT run it on anything but premium. This is not a good place to be cheap about filling it up. I mean come on even at 3.20 per gallon its still only about $10 to fill it up. Sure better than the $45 it cost me to fill my car with regular.

well i figured the tank had to be low when i started, but any way, i got a high of 41.8 today and 40.5 the other day. i stayed on the I till she ran dry right at 153 i went to rev and went another 12miles till the next gas station and filled to 3.2 gal so every thing seems fine. so all i have to do now is

replace the cct
remove the chain and clean
fix the oil leak i have out of the stator cap. i didnt use the right gasket when i fixed it, but the welds seem to be holding just fine. damn am a good alum welder

the first tank i had in it was prem, then i went to reg and then to mid and now back to reg, the mid seemed to be better, less lag on the throttle and not as ruff sounding so i may stay with it

I get anywhere between 43 and 50 on my '95 f3. The 50 is when I'm taking it super light and the 43 was when I was revving the **** out of it trying to keep up with a k5 gixxer.

I get around 38-40 mpg and i ride hard. I have also checked my odometer with gps and calibrated my speedohealer with it, so its about as accurate as it gets.

Fill it up to the brace inside the tank. Usually get to 120 miles before switching to reserve. That's about 40mpg. My average speed is about 80mph so you could probably get more.

PS: I usually fill up when I've gone around 130 miles riding daily without any doing any crazy hell-bending stints.
