like saddlebag style or magnetic tank bag?
targus makes great saddles for their price (sub100bucks)

 

I would consider saddlebags. I'm a shorter rider so a tank bag to me in my opinion would be too obtrusive being I straddle the bike pretty close to the tank.

 

I roll with a Givi tail trunk. It quick-connects to a permanent tail platform.
Easy to mount/dis-mount. The bike looks good with it on or off. And it's
secure storage. With the optional kit, it adds a brake light up high as well.
