What oil to use
ok so ive been using full synthetic honda gn4 10-40w for a while now. runs great but my f3 is one of those bikes that burns oil after riding it hard not a big deal just have to keep checking on it. anyways looking aroung found some mobil 1 full synthetic oil and they have both 10-40w and 20-50w. I was thinking about using the 50w maybe it would help with the oil burning. im also a bit hesitant my engine runs fine and i dont want to do any damage to it. what do you think? has anyone out there ever used mobil 1 20-50w is this oil too heavy for my f3? any input is appreciated.

This is just my opinion. If its not burning a lot of oil then I would not worry about changing to 20w50. My personal opinion is that I would not run that heavy of oil in my bike. Im sure some people have and im sure some people will say go ahead. But im not going to tell you that lol. If it runs good then leave it be.

Mobil 1 and Valvoline both make great synthetic motorcycle oil.
I have a 95, so I switch between 10-40 and 20-50 quite often.
I burn oil randomly, both with the 40 or the 50.
Most of the time I have a mixture of them both in the bike.
Usually 40 with a lil bit of MMO and then some 50 to thicken it back up.
If it's burning oil all the time, I would switch to 20-50, but if it's
just doing it every now and then or after a real hard ride I wouldn't worry bout it.
10-40 will be just fine.
