What HID's are you guys using?
Hey, I have a 97F3. I was wondering what ones you guys have been using.. There are some with Hid and a reg bulb for high.. Some with a electro magnet that moves the bulb from high to lo.. Any input would be great.. Thanks!
I just installed the HID kit last night and love it. Tested the lights to make sure I am not blinding anybody I am behing or on coming traffic. So I had the misses help me out, had her drive her car in front of me and look in the rear view mirror as I approach behind her, see said it didn't bother her on a straight rode, be in a turn as the bike leans is wear she couldn't look in the side view mirrors.
As for the on coming traffic, it didn't bother her either whenshedidn't look directly at them. Which is what they tell you when the HID first came out, is not to look directly at the head light.
The kits I got is V-HID thin ballest and a set of H3 hid bulbs with high beam bothfrom ebay. I have the same kit for my car and I love them. I can turn the kits off and on withoutany blinking, which works good for the bike, because when you hit the starter switch the light turns off until the bike starts.
Just make sure you get the thin ballast and H3 bulb w/high beam,if you have to get your bike inspected that of one thing they check on the inspection list.
I have my sitting behind the gauges under that rubber cover, install in 20 minutes, the longest part was getting the gauges off.
