Weird symptom - idle changes as bike warms up
So I got my 95 f3 running after it was sitting for about 6 months. carbs cleaned 110%. New plugs, all fuses good to go, RR fine. 12,900 miles on it, and i've never ridden it because ive been tryin to fix this problem since i've owned the bike in my spare time. I've had this problem since I bought the bike 9-10 months ago.
Start her up with choke, let it run up to about 4k rpms for about 30-45 sec, then take the choke off, and it will hover around 1200 and sound like its struggling. RPMS jump around. It will sit at 1200 for 5 seconds, then jump up 100-200 rpms, then go back down to 1200. It will get warmer, and the rpms will increase to a steady, "healthy" sounding 2,000 rpms and sit there for a minute or two. Then as the temp gauge starts to move, and i can feel heat off the bike, the rpm's will start to climb ever so slightly. In about a 2-3 minute time, it will climb by 300-500 rpm (if i dont touch the idle adjustment screw).
Revs are slow before the temp gauge moves to the point it makes you think that the idle jets are dirty, but i cleaned the hell out of them 3 times before, and again 2 days ago. idle to 3,000 is slow if you gag the throttle. above 3,000 or so and it will climb to the moon in a heartbeat.
BUT when she gets warmed up, the throttle response is instant. no hesitation. Im baffled. never had this problem before. ANY ideas???
edit: this is within a 5-8 minute period. i never let the bike sit running longer than that cause i dont have a battery tender readily handy to charge the batt back up.

your idle will be low to start out and go up too high if you aren't letting it warm up enough, 35-40 seconds isn't much, I usually have mine on choke for a few minutes when it's dead cold. Try letting it warm up completely, adjust the idle to 1200, ride until you're done and then let it cool for a few hours. When you start it again let it warm up on choke for a few minutes, probably until the needle moves a hair, then it should be fine, mine does similar if I don't let it warm up enough, it has an idle down near 900-1000 and then it goes back up over time.

so im not being too picky? im saying that it takes 5-8 minutes for the idle to be good enough that it responds to my wrist response of gagging the throttle. my last bike was a 89 kawi 500 and i never cleaned the carbs or anything during the 1.5 years that i owned it and it would start up without choke in 60+ degree weather and respond to what ever throttle i threw at it regardless of engine temp. maybe its different for 4 cylinders? i dont know.
guess im just sayin, my last bike... i would start it, put my helmet, jacket, and gloves on, and it was ready to ride. but 5-8 minutes with this one? is that normal?

My normal start routine begins giving it full choke and hit the starter. The RPMs will start out around 900, but I ignore that. After a bit, the RPMs will begin climbing to about 3.5k and I start to slowly close the choke. RPMs will drop to normal, round 1100 or so. But she's not ready to ride. Now on to Part 2 of the routine.
I leave the driveway, locking the fence. Go back in the house. Grab my jacket. Take the helmet out of the helmet bag my girlfriend keeps putting it in. Start cussing cause she took the gloves out of the helmet. And now I have to start thinking like her to figure out where'd she stick my gloves. Find my gloves on top of the refrigerator. Grab my smokes and head out the door. Open the fence. Hop on the bike and pull on my jacket. Take off my glasses and pull on my helmet. Strap down the helmet and put my glasses back on. Look down at the tank and remember I put my gloves on the table when I grabbed my smokes. Run back in the house and grab my gloves. Run back out to the bike (cause I left it running with the fence open). Sit down again and put my gloves on. And...
By the time I've done all this, the temp gauge has moved and she's ready to ride. Pull out to the end of the driveway. Hop off to lock the fence and hop back on. At this point, it'll respond to the slightest twist of the wrist. If I try and take off before the temp gauge has started moving, she'll pitch a fit and go back to sleep
