Default Vac plugs

So i tried to sync my carb's yesterday....getting to number 1 and 2 wasnt hard except the adjustment screw for number 1 was impossible to reach with a straight screwdriver...3 i couldnt get my hand on at all, i tried pulling a few hoses off to move them out of the way, still couldnt reach, diddnt even look at number 4, just stopped befor i broke anything....anybody got some tips on how to reach these vac plugs?

I did my wife's bike a couple of weekends ago. I know I had to remove the left and right engine hanger bracket. I also used a curved pair of "Hemostats" to reach in and remove the plug on the vacuum port. Thinking of the future and not wanting to do go through this process again, I permanently attached some 12" extension hoses to the couplings. That way next time I don't have to disconnect anything, just unplug the extension hoses and attach the gauge to them.

hah! never thought to use hemo's that's a good damn idea! how did you get to the sync screw for the no.1 carb?
