Tires
I was thinking about new tires for my 1996 CBR F3 and I was looking at Pirelli Tires. I was wonding if anyone knows much about the Pirelli Brand. I want something that will be sticky for better handling on the road so I was looking at thier 'Hypersport Range' which is the Street/Racing hybrid. The Pirelli Diablo seems like a good choice. Any thoughts?
I've used the Diablo and Diablo Strada on the street. The Diablo's were awesome but they only lasted 3K miles or so. That's to be expected from a sport tire. I've gotten 8K miles from a Strada front and about 6K from a rear.Im a pretty agressive rider and the Stradas have held up good for me on the street so I've stuck with those. I've also used the Dunlop 208's which I hated.
For the track bike I've tried thePilot Power and Pilot Race. The Powers were awesome but they wear out quick. Pilot Race tires take 3-4 laps to warm up if you don't have warmers. They are like glass when cold but stick really well when warm. Not recommended for street AT ALL!
