Yes those are the stock sizes. I've had the unfortunate luck that I've never had a matching set of tires due to screws in rear tire. That being said, I've had the Pilot Power 2CT as my most recent front tire and I've loved it, no issues until recently (its going bald) and its got well over 8,000 miles on it. However, I don't like the profile of the pilot power rears, too pointy, wore those down to the wire too fast.

So far my favorite rear tire has been the Bridgestone Battlax BT-016, got the edges all nice and boogerie, but only had it for a thousand ish miles until another screw.

I was thinkin about tryin out the Dunlop Sportmax Q2's for the summer. I've had a Sportmax Roadsmart on over the winter and its been pretty good, but the tire wall doesn't stick out that far, get to the edge kinda quick in corners.

so im down to the wire i need to order some tires before mine get worse. been looking around and researching...

i do mostly commuting with occasional aggresive riding. im looking to save a little money if possible (who isnt?). people say shinkos arent too bad for riding like i do. but the off brand throws me off. anyways a set of shinko 005's are $170 shipped from motorcyclesuperstore, where as a set of michelin power pilots are only $187 shipped. whats the better buy? whats gonna last longer? should i go with the name brand?

Im pretty sure the std pilot power tires are "soft" tires. meaning you will get killer traction but not much for miles out of them. i think the pilot power 2 tires would be alot more suited for 100% street riding as they have a medium/hard center and soft edges. im not 100% sure about but im sure someone else will chime in. i have the shinko 009 raven's on my bike. exceeding my expectations so far when it comes to wear and traction. (and they are cheap as hell)

Yeah they havnt let me down yet. Rain, downpours, mostly sun though. I ride pretty agressivly and they have held up great. Never lost traction yet. I still spin the tire when
I ride the gravel road though!!

Check out the Shinko tires thread if you haven't already... Right now I'm trying to decide between the Shinko 009s and Michelin Pilot Powers. I haven't decided yet, but I've heard nothing but good about the Shinkos and if you check out motorcycle superstore both of them have really good reviews.

By the way andy, love your bike. I've been thinking about doing some custom graphics kind of like that, maybe next year. Looks hot.
