Default Tire feed back

Hey ya'll I am in the need for new tires earlier than expected due to a drunken bump an run , He bumped me at a light an ran so i persued him but went into a turn downtown to hard an had to slide the rear but didn't go down. When i got home though i noticed i was starting to show cords on the rear. So i have been doing some reasearch an i have corsa 111 on now but cost of those replacements are way out of my budget especially on this short of notice , i looked into pilot power 2ct , pilot road 2ct , and also shinko 055. Now i have friends that are swearing by michielins but the shinko's are sixty bucks cheaper for the seat , only difference i see is that they are not 2ct's . I need a good tire that will go the distance because i like to ride back an forth to work which is about thirty miles a day. Sorry for the long introduction but I feel I would get a good resopnse if i gave everyone the full scope of what im looking at , thanks in advance for the info and suggestions

Well, I'm a Michelin contract rider, so I say go Michelin. They've never failed me, excellent tires. Center harder for commutes, sides soft for twistys. I get about 7-8K on mine on the 954 (street only).

I like my michelin road 2's a lot.
Moved your thread out of the FS section... hopefully you'll get a little more feedback.
I'd do a search on tires, too, as this subject has been talked about a good bit.

I have used Dunlop Roadsmarts. They are good for commutes as well as they stick in the turns.

I currently have the Shinko 009 front and back. On my F3 I got just over 12K on the back and the front is still going strong at 15K and counting. They take a bit to warm up, and are not meant for serious twisties. I commute a great deal so I needed a tire that would last and last they have. I've never had an issue with them.

Ok ya I'll have to keep on with the search cause I need the long lasting tire but when I ride with friends we can tend to get into some serious twisties. Also thanks for the thread move lol apparently I wasn't paying close attention to my post

it all depends how much you lean and use your tires... if you're not an aggressive rider 2ct will be pointless for you, they have extra sticky ends

i have the dunlop qualifiers on mine, they've been running strong for me. I looked up a lot of reviews when i was buying them, and found that the Michelin pilots and the Dunlop qualifiers were the top 2 favorites from everyone.

my only issue with the qualifiers is the tread pattern, I almost with it had more grooves for grip but I havnt had a real problem with them since i got them about 6k ago

ive got pilot powers 1ct IIRC on mine from previous owner. they are a good tire, but the do need to be changed. i was thinking about swaping over to the 2ct but not sure how quick the tire will wear.
