Finally bought one!
I finally bought my CBR F3. 18,XXX miles. Fresh tune up in the fall (have receipt). New tires. D&D exhaust. Also has an underglow kit that I will be uninstalling. :P
Bought it in Hartland WI and trailered it home for two hours in a thunderstorm.
Rode it around the block once in the rain while it was dark and nothing bad happened. This is also the first time I've been on a motorcycle. Quite the learning experience lol. I know that it is really mean and can kill me quickly. I never got it above 5k rpms and 30 mph. I'm still a little nervous on it, but I hope that's normal. I haven't killed it yet starting out. Starting on an incline is tricky lol.
Here's some cell phone pics. I'll get more later with me on it when it stops raining.
Here it is!

Nice F3! Now let's keep it that way by no more riding in the rain at night with no experience! Sign up for the MSF course to help keep the shiny bits shiny. We need more ROTM candidates and won't do if we're all rashed up
Why are you removing the underglow kit if I may ask? Not legal in your state? Yes, they make our bikes look cool (or gaudy depending on your tastes). But at night they perform the very real function of upping our visibility. When set to white or a bright color, the rear of my bike can easily be seen waaaaay before the brake light.

I'm registered for my MSF course April 9th! I was waiting at midnight to sign up. My class sold out in 20 minutes.
I know I shouldn't ride at night in the rain. My neighborhood has no cars around. Plus I was very anxious.
Also, I'm gonna stick to ATGATT. Bell full face helmet, shift jacket, shift leather gloves, shift kicker boots, and alpinestar pants. I wore them just to go around the block.
The underglow isn't legal around here. It should be because I like the visibility factor. Otherwise I would at night. To me underglow isn't cool on cars but I could handle being more visible on a bike.

Here, if you have anything besides a front headlight a cop will pull you over because he is a douche.

Here in PA any lighting in bikes to "improve visibility" is legal. Helps that someone high up in penndot rides.
As for riding in wet, I'd recommend against it for an experienced rider on a new (to them) bike. At least until they know the limits of the bike & suspension. A cracked upper and wounded pride taught me that lesson.
