throttle hesitation between 1.5k rpms to 3k rpms

its like i said its a hesitation on on the throttle, but its only between 1.5k rpms and 3k rpms, a friend of mine told me it was runnin a little lean in the beginning, and just to adjust the A/F ratio on the carbs, he also told me to run hot gas thru it as well, i do know the carbs need to be cleaned, but i'll do that here in a few weeks when i have some time off, other than that she runs like a champ. just seeing if hes correct to help this issue, thanks

If it's NOT the carbs, chances are you'll find the problem once you've got the bike torn down. Make sure you replace your air and fuel filters while you're in there. They're cheap maintenence parts, and require a similar teardown to get at, so might as well do it now. Heck, one of those could be your problem.

im going through the same problem as you, but my carbs are freshly cleaned. it could be a vacuum line issue. i'll let you know if i find anything on mine that could be helpful to you.

The idle circuit from the factory is a little lean from the factory. If you adjust it, it requires a carb sync. It also could use a sync because those are needed every so often. How long has it been since the bike has had a sync? I would also look for an air leak in your secondary air intakes. Those hoses get old and crack at the ends which could allow air to pass through.

Hell, check the plugs. Whe was the last time THEY were replaced?

hell i actually dunno, i actually just purchased this bike last month, my 2nd bike, my first one got totaled, got railed by a drunk driver and sent me into the guard rails, that was on my list, im in the process of takin the tank off, gonna replace the air filter, fuel filter, and was gonna clean the carbs, i bought the bike off an elderly gentleman who used it for casual riding, but he never really rode the bike other than the saturday casual ride, so i might as well start ordering my parts.
