Default Suspension set ups

I found a link on here that showed set ups for the honda f3 and i was woundering if the set up changes with different weight riders? I am a larger guy (260) and i want my bike to be set up as well as i can for me, i seen where a 2008 f4i rear shock would fit right on would this be wise to do? Please keep in mind that i dont have the money to just go out and buy race type springs and such i have a very tight budget. If you can guide me in the right direction it woould be appreciated.

first question is Yes
second question ya gotta look at the spring rate of the other shock
what kind of rider are you
aggressive , commuter
racer ?
suspension setting is something that needs to be done with you on the bike
ya just can't go off of what others have set theirs at

You would most likely need a stiffer spring, even with the F4i shock. In addition to the spring for the shock, you will most likely need springs for the forks to get a proper set up. If you're on a lean budget, crank the preload to it's highest settings for the forks and shock. From at this point, measure the sag on the bike. The rear should be in the area of 30 - 35 mm and the front should be in the area of 35 - 40. Here is a good vid explaining how to calculate the front and rear sag.
