Sunnufa.....things keep breaking!!!
 

All right, so I'm about ready to light a match and toss it in the damn tank!

So far on my bike, I've replaced:
-plastics
-Stator flywheel
-sparkplugs
-clutch cable
-clutch lever (tension bolt is stripped)
-spark plugs again
-thermostat
-oil (twice) and filter
-battery

and I've only owned it since February. I feel like an ass, every time I go ride with friends it feels like I break down or have bike issues of some kind, and I'm aggrivated with the whole thing! I'm seriously, seriously planning on upgrading to a 1K this winter and keeping this 600 as a sentimental project. It's the first bike I've built, so I want to hang on to it, but it's just so aggrivating to keep having to fix stuff all the time!

Any advice on how to go through the whole bike and prevent future failures? Or do I keep riding the 2 wheeled curse and pray it doesn't break too bad?

Rant away.....that is one problem with owning an older bike. The Upkeep. There are times when I felt like that also.

Look at it this way, new or used, stuff still breaks. At least your fixin something you enjoy.
