At a Stoplight bike suddenly stopped running???
Bike started up fine at home cold start with choke, then started to ride to work I live 5 minutes away from work got one stop light from work and my bike just stopped running lights were on everything tried to start it over was cranking but not starting up any ideas?
Was it my fuel pump?
Bike is a 97 cbr f3 with 40,600miles

If battery is low + starter is bad, you should still be able to push start ( pop clutch, rolling start ) if you unable to push start? Something is not firing?
First thing you may want is to get your battery fully charge. Some shops will charge battery for free...once you have a fully charge battery, then you can troubleshoot what is wrong? Is your sparks firing? Ignition coil working? Stator? Ditto...
Even maybe having water in the gas tank may cause none firing issue? Then prolong trying to crank, cause battery low... Have bike seen rain?

One of the most likely causes of your situation, is accidentily pinching off the tank vent hose (under the tank). If you removed the tank and replaced it recently, the 2 hoses under the tank clip into a holder bracket. If the tank is too high when you clip these hoses into the frame bracket, the vent hose folds in half pinching off the tank vent line, when you lower it back into position. If you opened the filler cap and heard a vacume "swoosh" sound, thats most likely what happened. Your engine stopped due to fuel starvation, followed by battery depletion. The good news is , lift the back end of the tank and pull down the hoses to straighten them out, and charge the battery, you're good to go. Note: fuel suction on CBRs is strong so doing this alot can cause the vacume levels in your tank to begin crushing the tank from the inside out.

Did in fact turn out to be my battery after a good trickle charge is started up fine. Another question for anyone that can answer why does all my lighting on the bike get a whole lot brighter when I'm revving is my battery too weak and needs to be replaced? And at idle the needle bouncing around a direct reflection on fuel delivery need it be my spark plugs need to be changed as well as a carb cleaning.
