Steering stop question with pics
So I was out working on my bike and noticed that when I turn the bars all the way to the left the clip on has about 3/8" (even less at the triple) clearance while the right has more like 2" when turned to the right. The left steering stop looks like it is set back farther than the right but it seams a little strange to have the bike turn sharper to the left. So I'm wondering if this is normal or something I should fix. a verification of weather this is normal or not from one of you guys with an f3 would be much appreciated thanks.
now here are some pic to give my ramble some context.

It is not bent it's welded on further back. It also dose not look like it was broken off and re-welded in the wrong place, looks to me like it was welded there from the factory. Maybe it is like that because of clearance for the fairings I'm not sure because when I got the bike all the fairings were off and in pieces. If someone with an f3 could check to see if there left tab is set back or not I would be much obliged.
Thanks.
Thanks.
The steering stops on my F3's are identical. Same position on both sides. I can't get a photo like you've taken because the bracket the supports the Fairing Stay is welded to the front of the frame. I see that yours has been removed and the welds ground down. I'd say that either your bike was hit severely on the left side, or they've been rewelded on.
Yeah it was in at least one wreck before I got it probably more. The sub frame and the main fairing stay where bent so they both came off and I ground down the stay mounts and any other tabs I thought I could do without. It is now in the process of becoming a streetfighter.
It must have been re-welded then because I think I would be able to tell if it was caused by an impact. It should show some signs of being stressed and bent.
Now I need to decide if I try to remove the left stop and weld it symmetrical with the right stop or just leave it. What do you guys think?
Here is a pick of how my bike sits at the moment.
