heres the list of things i NEED.

-forks.
-triple tree.
-brake master.
-front rim.
-maybe front tire.
-maybe front rotor.

thats all i need to make it drive again then.
this is whats next.

-oil change.
-tune up (filter, plugs, wires, carbs cleanded a lil.)
-check clutch for wear and such. maybe replace. or put washers in springs.
-replace gas tank.
-make headlight.

then after that happens.
future upgrades include but not limited to.

-f4i body and headlight.
-hid kit.
-600rr tail.
-gp style exhaust.
-clean/paint frame and components.
-steering damper.

then Sell it before something hapens to it.

ill keep you guys posted, dont worry this wont take as long as it sounds, i do all the work my self and im quite handy.

im just new to the bike world so i need to find some shops or salvage yards with donor bikes to get all the parts i need.

i cant wait to start.

lil update, i got all my parts today, and most of them are back on the bike. ill post piks later.
i just gota put the tail back on and the calipers and bleed them and stuff.

i just got 2 lil problems.

-the pre previous owner hacked some wires, and i got a bounch of wires just cut. and dont know where they go so i have to check the FMS and see if i need them and such.

-after the last accident the engine is making a really loud noice, and is coming from like the top of the block towards the right side (clutch side)
it kinda sounds like a valve tap/exhaust leak. the sound kinda blends in when i rev it but is there... i dont see how the internals could have gotten mest up from the fall. im clueless, any idea????
is not an exhaust leak because i put my hand all around and could not feel the warm air or smell the fumes. and it would increase the noice as i rev it.
what could it be????

Default Front end

Since your in the market for a new front end why don't you go inverted with the forks!

It does not look like your going to riding your bike anytime soon so take the time and get the parts needed for the upgrade

You would be a one and only F3 with inverted forks and IMHO would be an awsome mod for the old dog.

Look for a trashed bike locally first, try and get the entire front end or buy the parts off ebay part by part.

Triple, forks, rim, rotors and calipers.

It can be done inexpensivly if you don't get in a hurry and I bet it could be done for less than $500.

What do you think?

im sorry for the NOOB *** question but what is inverted forks?

and the bike is all together now, just need to bleed the calipers and is on the road. lol

i dont have patience for this kinda stuff. lol i like to work fast.
i mean, i just wanted to put it together i gota put it apart to work on it soon, but i dont mind , i love working on this bike.

anyways, i turned it on. and the noice seems to have gone away, lol after i put oil in the thing. looks like it had lost a lot of oil from the fall.
and the frame seems ok.

ill post piks asap. i just dont have a damn card reader.

but tell me whats inverted forks and why should i do this????

Look at the way your forks are now....now picture them upside-down...inverted forks. Inverted forks are much better handling. For some motorcycles a inverted (upside-down) fork can reduce the un-sprung weight with about 9-15%It would attribute better performance in most inverted designs due to better lubrication. The oil sitting on top of the seals will provide better lubrication to the legs.

very interesting but i think ill pass on that for now. ill look into it in the future.

BDWAY. i need some help i took the bike out today after bleeding the front calipers, and i dont know why but the rotors are grinding on the calipers . as if the brakes were slightly engaged all the times.

and when i looked at the front wheel it looks as if it was about 5mm to the left (clutch side) then i tough the collars on the front axle were backwards or something and that was causing the rotor to grind on the pads, but i just looked at my fsm and it seems ok.

the axle is a lil too far into the fork. ill post piks tonight maybe someone can help me.
